Madison Bumgarner is an American professional baseball pitcher who as of June 2023, was a free agent. Previously, Madison had been pitching in Major League Baseball (MLB). Some of the teams he played for are the San Francisco Giants (2009–2019) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2020–2023). He is the winner of #3 World Series championships (2010, 2012, 2014) and #2 Silver Slugger Awards (2014, 2015).

  • He was raised in a town called “Bumtown” which was located ten miles from Hickory, North Carolina. The town was named that as there was an abundance of people with the surname Bumgarner who had been residing there over the years after their ancestors had settled there from Germany.
  • Madison grew up in a log house that was built by his father, sleeping in a loft.
  • He was just four years old when he began playing in a youth baseball league. In order for him to do so, Madison’s father had to sign a waiver as the league was for five-to eight-year-olds.
  • His parents legally parted ways while Bumgarner was in high school.
